I recently finished 21 Day Fix Round 2. (If you missed the results from 21 Day Fix Round 1, you can check them out here.) I’m really starting to hit my groove when it comes to incorporating fitness into my busy schedule. Preparation has most certainly been the key to success for me.
What did I think? Obviously, I’m a fan of 21 Day Fix or I wouldn’t have committed to a second round. However, I can feel that my body is beginning to plateau. The first round, I lost an amazing 15 inches and 6 pounds. Round 2, I lost 6 inches and 2.6 pounds. While this is still excellent progress, I wanted more.
The solution? I need to kick things up a notch. I’m gearing up for another challenge beginning on December 5th. I’ve decided to try 21 Day Fix Extreme. The exercise regimen is a little more intense, but so is the diet. I think I’m up for it.
Ready to see how Round 2 went? Here we go:
I took a lot of food with me to work. This was so helpful to keep me from digging into the donuts, birthday cakes, and cookies that always seem to be lurking in the break room.
Each day, I took a sweaty picture after my workout to post for my accountability group. The accountability helped me so much during the three weeks.
Do you know how hard it is to order a veggie omelet when pumpkin pancakes are on the menu? It’s tough, but doable. Looking over the menu before going out to eat and planning my orders in advance helped to keep me from making on the spot ordering decisions that I would regret later. And you know what? The omelet was pretty good.
This is my favorite before and after picture. Look how round my face was when I started!! I can’t believe the change. It’s crazy! Also, I’m makeup-free in both pictures and I think my skin looks so much fresher in the second picture. It’s amazing what good nutrition and proper hydration can do.
This was my favorite go-to breakfast. Eggs, uncured turkey bacon, and cantaloupe. The cantaloupe is in one of the containers that came with the program. The purple containers are for fruit and I am allowed to have two of them per day. You really begin to get a feel for what proper portions look like after a while.
Finally, the before and after. These show the changes from the beginning until the end of Round 2. The picture from the side is kind of amazing. Believe it or not, I was actually trying to hold in my stomach in that first picture. I’m also loving the leg definition I’m starting to see.
Sadly, as my stomach gets smaller, the skin covering it is beginning to get looser and show some wrinkles. I may not have gotten stretch marks as a result of carrying triplets (lucky me!) but it looks like my stomach may not be able to bounce back to the way it was before. I’m going to keep working to tighten it up for now and we’ll see what happens.
I hope you found this somewhat inspirational. I really do think that anybody can do what I’ve done so far. It only took a little extra weekly planning for the diet and 30 minutes a day to exercise. To follow my progress in real time, you can follow me on Instagram @tripletmomgetsfit where I post daily about my fitness journey. I also post before and after pictures each week of the program.
If you want to start tackling some of your own fitness goals, I couldn’t be more excited to help you out! I’m a raving fan of the 21 Day Fix program and Shakeology because I’ve seen firsthand how well they work and how great they make me feel. If you want to join the Challenge Group beginning on December 5th, all you have to do is order any Challenge Pack through this website and I’ll get you added to the group right away! (If you’re reading this after December 5th, don’t fret! You can still order a Challenge Pack and I’ll get you added to the next available group.)
