Goodbyes are often bittersweet. This one is no different.
If you’ve been following my family’s journey on The Thoughtful Mom, I want to offer my sincerest thank you. The friends, family, and strangers who have reached out to me with love and support over the past three years have helped me to feel understood and hopeful. In a big way, you’ve helped to set me up for the next big adventure in my life.
I have made the decision to stop writing on The Thoughtful Mom.
Three years ago, I was broken down and lost. I had just finished what is likely to be the hardest year of my life. Traumatic labor and delivery, 9 excruciating weeks in the NICU, oxygen tanks, post-partum depression, and raising newborn triplets while serving full-time in the military. It was hard.
At the end of that year, I left the military and Colorado Springs. I returned to my home and family in Kentucky. Then I began to rebuild. This blog was born during the healing process.
After I completed my MBA at the end of 2016, I began developing the idea for a dental practice that was built on my personal values. Now that dream is almost a reality. I haven’t been quiet for the last several months due to overwhelm or fatigue, just a shift in focus.
I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that I am not superwoman. I can’t do everything. I have to say goodbye to my friends at The Thoughtful Mom.
I have decided to leave The Thoughtful Mom available for anyone who might stumble upon it and find value from my words. Or even for new patients who just want to know the person caring for their health on a more personal level.
Just for fun, I’ve gathered a list of my all-time favorite posts:
I’m not going to stop writing. I’ll be blogging on the practice website about lifestyle, family, and a little dentistry. And if you are a local friend, you are always welcome to stop by the practice and take a tour or just say hello.
